Check the codekey for a .bin file for a Bluetrum chip

How to Check the Code Key of a Bluetrum Firmware File

Every Bluetrum firmware .bin file is encrypted with a Code Key. To repack, rekey or rebuild a firmware, you first need to know which key it uses. The Detect Code Key feature lets you upload a .bin file and instantly see its Code Key, with no unpacking and no download.

What does it do?

    • Reads the .bin file you upload, auto-detects its Code Key and shows it as 0x… (8 hex characters), for example 0x675BD6D3.
    • Also shows the chip name when it can be read.
  • Read-only: the firmware is not modified and no file is downloaded.
  • The temporary file is deleted right after detection.

Before you start

  • A firmware file with the .bin extension.
  • File size of 5 MB or less.

What can you do with the Code Key?

  • Repack firmware: enter the Code Key when rebuilding from an unpacked ZIP.
  • Rekey Code Key: convert the firmware to a new Code Key.
  • Record keeping: note the key of each firmware line for future use.
